State Track – Day 1

Ottawa County has had a great day in the preliminary round of the state track meet.  Madison Wolf of Bennington is now a state champion in the javelin and a silver medalist in the pole vault. Tescott and Bennington athletes advanced in several events as well.

Minneapolis athletes also advanced. Lindsay Shupe advanced in the 200.  The girl’s 4×100 and 4×400 both advanced winning their heats.   For the boys, Alex Yoxall will throw the throw the javelin tomorrow at 11:30. Gage Mortimer qualified in the 300M

hurdles and will run tomorrow at 4:45.  Events for Saturday are as follows.

8:30, 100 preliminary, Danielle Nay

10:30 4×800 BHS girls

11:40 4×800 BHS and THS boys

3:00 4×100 girls BHS and MHS

3:45 400 Danielle Nay

4:45 300 hurdles Gage Mortimer (MHS) and Kyle Comstock

5:05 800 Tearyn Glissman and Paula Olbrig

5:30 800 Drake Junneman

5:50 200 Danielle Nay (BHS) and Lindsay Shupe (MHS)

6:30 4×400 BHS and MHS

7:00 4×400 MHS
