Quest Club met May 16. Ten members and a guest enjoyed a visit to the Salina Rescue Mission. The tour was conducted by Sandy Shields and Sharolyn Stout made the arrangements. The director gave a very interesting overview of the Mission, which is faith based. They do not receive government help, so they have their own rules. Members were very impressed with the staff, who were concerned about each person and willing to help them start a new life.
Members enjoyed lunch with Sandy and the director sharing the routine at the Mission and the tour. Members feel they get so caught up in their own lives, they forget there are men and women who have struggles each day. It was a humble experience for all of the members. They left with a new understanding about the Rescue Mission.
