The Headdress in Bennington held a Locks of Love Drive on June 22nd. Locks of Love is an organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. The winner of this drive was Macee Jay Denison, daughter of Justin and Ashlee Denison of Minneapolis. Macee, who is 4 years old and has down syndrome, decided her first haircut would be a special one for more than just her. After growing her hair for four years, this amazing little girl decided to donate over 15 inches of hair so that other children could benefit. The honor of Macee’s first cut went to Heather Lytle at Headdress in Bennington. Macee’s donation of over fifteen inches of hair won her a $25 gift certificate to Olive Garden and three hours in the bounce house. Congratulations to Macee and Heather, for this successful event.
