The CommunityGarden will be setting up in front of Westside Ventures Monday morning with cabbage and onions between 9:30 and 10 a.m.  Please feel free to stop by, donations are accepted with proceeds going to the United Church Health and Welfare program.

Get well wishes go to Ron Cherry.

There was a retirement party at The Depot on Saturday night for Bob Murray, a teacher at BenningtonHigh School.  A lot of memories and friendships were made.

Ruth Rinderer celebrated her birthday Friday noon with friend Brenda O’Gorman at Red Lobster and later that evening at Daimaru Steak House with family.

Audrey Carson attended the potluck lunch for Pastor Melody and her husband Larry, who are moving to ValleyFalls.

Frank and Sue Kline have been on a month long trip to Alaska.  They drove and took their camper.  They stopped to visit the Carsons on their way home Sunday afternoon.  It was fun listening to their stories.

Bennington Canasta Club met Monday with Gayle Francis, SalineCounty.  Those attending were Marge Boster, Karen McClain, Madonna McCall, Jeanne Ihnken, Janice Schmidt, Virginia Whitman and hostess Gayle. Everyone had a good time.  Jeanne Ihnken picked up Virginia in Minneapolis. It was a fun ride and they noticed it had rained while they were gone.  Wheat was being cut in the southern part of county.
